Are there any solutions for bounce back loops with a customer’s out of office?

At the moment we’ve got it set up so that if re: or out of office is in the subject then it’ll close it automatically, but if a customer forgets to turn their OOO we’re closing down conversations that need a reply.

Any help appreciated, thanks!

Hi @TimbaOoni , I’ll be contacting you via email to learn more about your specific use case. Thank you for submitting this question to our community page!

To close out-of-office emails, you can use our Business Rule template: "Close out-of-office conversations". This will give a good baseline to close OOO message emails, but you can also add additional conditions to the rule to account for a broader range of messages.

In this case, a form submission auto-acknowledgment email triggered the customer’s OOO. To resolve this, we added a condition to the business rule that would only run on conversations where the conversation channel was explicitly email, or not a form.
